Meet Your Coach. James Kennedy.

At 35 years old, James is a certified Functional Range Conditioning Mobility Specialist and Vinyasa Yoga Instructor. He is a dedicated father of two who has seamlessly integrated exercise and movement into his daily life. With over 20 years of experience in football, weight training, and several years of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, he has always maintained an active lifestyle. However, the toll of prolonged physical activity resulted in multiple injuries, leading to ongoing pain and discomfort. Despite adapting his training to accommodate these challenges, he continued to face physical limitations.

In 2017, he discovered yoga, which initially offered relief through increased freedom and flexibility. As a devoted vinyasa yoga practitioner and instructor, James believes in the importance of exercise and movement for maintaining a balanced life. His teaching approach emphasizes the uniqueness of each body, encouraging students to push their boundaries while prioritising joint safety through precise alignment cues. Witnessing his students' determination and growth brings him immense fulfillment.

However, as his yoga practice deepened, old injuries resurfaced, particularly in his knees, wrists, ankles, and shoulders, forcing him to modify his movements and limiting his ability to fully engage in certain poses. Determined to find a lasting solution, James explored various training methods to improve joint strength but continued to experience persistent discomfort after workouts.

Everything changed when he discovered Mobility Training. Within the first month of incorporating it into his routine, he noticed significant improvements: knee pain subsided, allowing him to return to running, yoga became pain-free, and weight training no longer left him physically drained. Additionally, his joint strength and range of motion increased, marking a pivotal transformation in his approach to physical well-being.

Mobility training is a movement enhancement system that focuses on developing maximum body control, flexibility, and usable ranges of motion. Rooted in scientific research, this system of training aims to improve joint health, prevent injuries, and enhance physical longevity.

Mobility Training is offered in our JK Movement Studio, Edmonson Park.

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday - 6:00 pm. 60 minutes per class. Max. 4 people per class. Bring your fitness mat, drink and a towel.
